Key Points to Remember

 Percentile Calculation Process

  1. Raw Scores: After the exam, each candidate’s raw score is calculated based on the number of correct answers, with marks deducted for incorrect answers (if applicable).
  1. Normalization: Since the exam may be conducted in multiple sessions, the raw scores are normalized to account for variations in difficulty levels. This ensures fairness across different exam sessions.
  1. Percentile Score: The percentile score is then calculated using the following formula:

Percentile=(Total number of candidates number of candidates scored less than you)×100

This means if your score is higher than 85% of the candidates, your percentile will be 85.

  1. Final Score: The final score for each candidate is derived from the normalized percentile score, which is then used to determine the cut-off for various categories (UR, OBC, SC, ST, etc.).
